The role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Join us to provide Quality Assurance across Company activities, ensuring Platforms and Infrastructure meet customer expectations and comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide oversight and support for upgrades, maintenance, and modifications to Facilities, Infrastructure, and Assets, ensuring they meet through-life requirements to sustain submarine and warship maintenance activities.
* Advise Project Stakeholders on quality planning, delivery, and handover in line with Business Management arrangements.
* Assist in the development and review of Quality Management Plans (QMPs) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) during project planning.
* Support Project and Supply Chain in fulfilling ITP and QMP requirements, ensuring oversight of deliverable documents and records.
* Ensure Life Time Quality Records (LTQRs) effectively demonstrate achievement of design intent for plant, equipment, and infrastructure.
* Aid Senior Quality Assurance Engineers in delivering lifecycle quality assurance activities.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Quality Assurance Engineer
* Experience in Quality Assurance and Control methods within the Engineering sector, including supply chain operations.
* Understanding of change management, document management, and improvement initiatives.
* Awareness of national, international, statutory, and regulatory obligations related to Quality Management and Assurance.
* Knowledge / Experience of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.
Qualifications for the Quality Assurance Engineer
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering or quality discipline
* Completed a recognised apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
