Job summary We are currently recruiting a Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker. Malvern Community Hospital, is looking for a Healthcare Support Worker to assist the Outpatients Department and work within our friendly team, providing a high quality, comprehensive nursing service to all patients and users, ensuring a high standard of a patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment within the Outpatients Department. We work with some of the areas most experienced Consultant Surgeons, to deliver tailored, personalised care. We cover a variety of Outpatient Clinics including vascular and general surgery and are dedicated to providing high standards of care to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. This role requires you to have current right to work in the UK which enables you to undertake the role without need of sponsorship. Given the current UK immigration regulations this role is not eligible for sponsorship and therefore it is not possible for the Trust to sponsor applicants. Main duties of the job The main duties of a healthcare support worker are: - Assist with admitting patients to the outpatients department Undertake clinical procedures following assessment of competencies by qualified senior members of staff Carry out delegated nursing care Provide safe and effective care Identifies areas for the improvement mobilise patients using correct mobility equipment when required/liaise with physiotherapy team. liaise with nursing staff for information regarding Observations, catheters, lab samples, blood sugar monitoring, dressings and further health checks. stores to be restocked daily. comply with policies and procedures of the Outpatients Department.
