At the Place of Safety (Mason unit) at Southmead Hospital, we are recruiting Healthcare Support Workers to support individuals who are experiencing mental health problems.
You would be working within the nursing team on a busy place of safety as well as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
We are looking for people who are motivated, hardworking, compassionate, and caring.
The place of safety is due to move to Callington Road Hospital in late 2025. It is an exciting time to become part of the team and assist with moving a ward.
There will be opportunities to further develop, including care certificates and apprenticeships in nursing and other careers.

Main Duties of the Job
Our hospitals and teams don't close, so as you would expect, we do work on a shift basis - our patients need our care and attention 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Everyone gets involved working different shifts to ensure our patients receive the very best care, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
You'll support our teams and deliver fantastic care to all our patients, helping to ensure they receive the very best service possible. Whether you are helping to undertake observations, supporting them with their personal care, or listening to them when they are distressed, worried, depressed, or agitated - you will see first-hand the impact your role makes every minute you are working.
