The Role
As a Quality Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be focused on the Clean Energy Business in the UK, as well as providing support to our International Business, both in Japan and the USA.
Day-to-day, you’ll develop an appropriate quality strategy for your business area, gaining agreement and sponsorship from the senior management team and in alignment with the Cavendish Nuclear Quality Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop an appropriate quality strategy for your business area, gaining agreement and sponsorship from the senior management team and in alignment with the Cavendish Nuclear Quality Strategy.
* Lead the definition and implementation of assurance activities for your business area, including supply chains and partnerships.
* Support the SSHEQR function in defining the business’ processes, plans for quality and propose quality targets for the business area; monitor and report accordingly.
* Lead preparation for both internal and external audits.
* Ensure that all Quality events are promptly investigated and resolved at the correct level, and that key lessons learned from events are identified and promulgated.
This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with two days onsite based in Bristol, requiring regular site visits on a weekly/monthly basis.
Essential Experience
* Good working knowledge and application of ISO (essential) and ISO (desirable).
* NQA-1 experience is desirable.
* Ability to investigate events using industry best-practice causal analysis tools.
* Good working knowledge of the Nuclear industry or similar highly regulated industry.
Qualifications
* Science or Engineering degree (or equivalent).
* Chartered member of the Quality Institute or registered on the appropriate CPD Scheme.
