They are looking to add a driven and experienced Credit Controller, who can support some ad-hoc transactional finance for a full-time role. Working hours: 8:30–17:00, with a 1-hour lunch Salary: £25k - £30k per annum, dependent on experience Your new role As a Finance Assistant - Credit Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts, alongside being flexible and experienced enough to support ad-hoc transactional finance for the finance team where required. Your responsibilities will include: Chasing overdue payments from clients. Posting receipts and processing expenses. Reconciling purchase invoices and statements. Ad-hoc support on Ledgers when debt-chasing is not required Managing both the purchase and sales ledgers. Liaising with sites to answer queries and gather information. Communicating effectively with suppliers and customers, both verbally and in writing. Supporting the wider finance team with general administrative tasks. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you should possess: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage 200/50, Xero etc). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. At least one year of experience in a similar role or within a finance team. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
