Our client is a contracting firm operating in the private and social housing sectors with expertise in domestic and commercial electrical projects and is seeking to hire an office based QS Electrical Manager (Qualified Supervisor). Responsibilities: Overseeing and approving all electrical certifications within the companies NICIEC registration. The position, based at Head Office, involves providing technical support for various aspects of electrical installation works, conducting pre- and post- installation checks and performing site inspections when required. Additionally, the role includes offering trend analysis, conducting Toolbox talks, and delivering Safety briefs. You will be responsible for managing a team of employed electricians and subcontractor electricians. Although our Head Office is in the Northwest (Wigan), the nature of projects may necessitate nationwide travel. An ideal candidate for the QS Electrical Manager (Qualified Supervisor) position should possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes: Qualifications: Holds relevant electrical qualifications and certifications. Demonstrates a strong understanding of domestic and commercial electrical work. Experience: Proven experience as a supervisor in the electrical field, overseeing projects and certification processes. NICIEC Registration: Up to date and experience with NICIEC, showcasing compliance with industry standards and regulations. Expertise: Adept at providing technical support for various aspects of electrical installation works and supporting all areas of the business. Quality Assurance: Ability to ensure and maintain high standards of quality and compliance with electrical regulations. Inspection Skills: Competent in conducting thorough site inspections and pre/post-installation checks. Communication: Strong communication skills to provide clear guidance and support to both internal teams and external stakeholders. Analytical Skills: Capable of performing trend analysis to identify areas for improvement and efficiency. Safety: Prioritises safety, with the ability to conduct Toolbox talks and Safety briefs effectively that will identify an uptrend in quality.
