As an Apprentice Environmental Analyst, you’ll learn how to:
* Understand how a water company can manage its dependencies on the natural environment
* Track and manage large volumes of data
* Develop skills in problem solving, data analysis and data visualisation
* Present information to others to inform business decisions
* Understand environmental legislation to inform future projects
* Collaborate with different departments across the business to develop our environmental improvement programme.
* Work as part of a team to deliver our vision of a Better, Greener, Healthier North West.
A bit more about the role
Your apprenticeship will last 60 months, and successful apprentices will achieve an Environmental Practitioner (degree), Level: 6 standard, endorsed by the Institute for Apprenticeships.
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for someone who is keen to learn new skills in environmental management and develop a career in the water industry.
As an Environmental Practitioner you will develop a high level of knowledge and understanding of environmental legislation and environmental practices. Understanding how water companies interact with the natural environment, using analytical programmes and developing skills in environmental modelling to help build our multi-million-pound environmental enhancement programme. Protecting and improving the land, rivers, and seas around the North West.
You will be working as part of a team to track and manage large volumes of data. Working alongside business leads to identify opportunities to deliver the best value for customers and the environment.
Minimum Requirements:
* 5 GCSEs or equivalent, grades A-C or grades 9-4, which must include Maths, English and a Science or Technology subject. Plus a Level 3 qualification (A-levels, apprenticeship or BTEC etc totalling 112 UCAS points)

Additional Information
During your apprenticeship, you may need to travel to your place of study. If you’re from outside the area, accommodation will be provided by United Utilities during this period (excluding weekends). Please consider travel requirements and staying away from home if applicable.
You will need to be mobile in this role, we’ll contribute up to £500 towards driving lessons and tests to help to get you on the road!
