Job Duties:
The Qualified PE Teacher with experience of Special Educational Needs (SEN) will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Physical Education lessons to students with diverse learning needs. This includes adapting teaching strategies to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities, as well as promoting inclusive participation in sports and physical activities.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a PGCE, QTS, and have a background in Physical Education. Prior experience working with students with SEN is essential.
Education:
A degree in Physical Education or a related field is required, along with the necessary teaching qualifications.
Experience:
Previous experience teaching PE to students with SEN is highly desirable. Knowledge of KS3 and KS4 curriculum requirements is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of inclusive teaching practises, be able to manage challenging behaviour effectively, and have a passion for promoting sports and physical activity among students with SEN.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional training or qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be beneficial.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working full-time hours 08:30 - 16:00 and must be available to work full time Monday to Friday 5 days a week. The candidate should be prepared to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
