About the Role
The Children’s Hearings System provides the operational setting in which SCRA and our partner agencies work. The aim is to provide a safety net for vulnerable children and deliver tailored solutions which meet the needs of the individuals involved, while helping to build stronger families and safer communities.
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Finance and Resources has arisen within the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration (SCRA). SCRA is starting the journey of significant change and organisational transformation programme as we plan to meet our own stretching ambitions, those of the Hearings for Children Recommendations and the Children (Care and Justice) (Scotland) Act.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and committed individual to contribute to our organisational transformation and that of the Children’s Hearings System. As an experienced senior manager you will provide strategic direction, leadership and effective management to the Finance, Risk Management, Property and Procurement functions within SCRA. You will have a lead responsibility for developing and managing SCRA’s Financial Strategy as well as providing professional advice to the Board and Audit and Risk Committee. You will be an accomplished finance professional who will work collaboratively with our senior team as well as with our partners in Scottish Government and you will support continuous improvement and excellence and efficiency in all we deliver. You should be able to demonstrate that you can excel in managing complex and strategic issues and have a successful track record in leading and managing change. You will have financial and risk management experience in a relevant field and have a working knowledge of the functions within the remit of this post.
Applications for this post must be made through SCRA’s website where you will find details of all current vacancies. The application page will open in a new window.
