Job Description Purpose of the role We are seeking an experienced and versatile Apple product engineer to lead the new development of our corporate Standard Operating Environment (SOE) for introducing and supporting the latest generation of Apple devices within our banking environment. In this senior-level role, you will be responsible for the full stack of design, deployment, and ongoing support activities to enable the wide-scale use of Apple products across our organization. Accountabilities Design and develop the corporate SOE for Apple products, including Mac, iPad, and iPhone, optimized for our banking infrastructure and workflows Leverage JAMF or other Apple device management platforms to streamline deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of Apple hardware and software Work closely with our operational and commercial teams to establish the service offering, support model, and go-to-market strategy for Apple products within Barclays Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including IT, security, and business units, to integrate Apple technologies into our existing technology landscape Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on the team Stay up-to-date with the latest Apple product roadmaps, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our Apple ecosystem Ensure a seamless end-user experience and high availability of Apple products and services Director Expectations To manage a business function, providing significant input to function wide strategic initiatives. Contribute to and influence policy and procedures for the function and plan, manage and consult on multiple complex and critical strategic projects, which may be business wide They manage the direction of a large team or sub-function, leading other people managers and embedding a performance culture aligned to the values of the business. Or for an individual contributor, they lead organisation wide projects and act as deep technical expert and thought leader, identifying new ways of working and collaborating cross functionally. They will train, guide and coach less experienced specialists and provide information affecting long term profits, organisational risks and strategic decisions Provide expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside of own function, offering significant input to function wide strategic initiatives. Manage, coordinate and enable resourcing, budgeting and policy creation for a significant sub-function. Escalates breaches of policies / procedure appropriately. Foster and guide compliance, ensure regulations are observed that relevant processes in place to facilitate adherence. Focus on the external environment, regulators, or advocacy groups to both monitor and influence on behalf of Barclays, when appropriate. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division / Group to achieve the overall business objectives. Maintain broad and comprehensive knowledge of industry theories and practices within own discipline alongside up-to-date relevant sector / functional knowledge, and insight into external market developments / initiatives. Use interpretative thinking and advanced analytical skills to solve problems and design solutions in often complex/ sensitive situations. Exercise management authority to make significant decisions and certain strategic decisions or recommendations within own area. Negotiate with and influence stakeholders at a senior level both internally and externally. Act as principal contact point for key clients and counterparts in other functions/ businesses divisions. Mandated as a spokesperson for the function and business division. Required Qualifications: -7 years of experience as an Apple product engineer, with a strong background in macOS, iOS, and Apple device management Extensive experience working with JAMF or other enterprise Apple device management platforms In-depth knowledge of deploying and supporting Apple products in large, complex enterprise environments, particularly within the financial services industry Proven track record of leading the design, development, and implementation of corporate SOEs Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams Familiarity with full-stack engineering principles, including both design and support activities Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is desired If you are a seasoned Apple product engineer with the skills and experience to lead our corporate SOE development and drive the adoption of Apple technologies within our banking environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
