Help us make a difference to people with life-limiting illnesses…
At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much-loved and well supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 25 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.
About the role:
Our Events & Campaign Fundraisers play a pivotal role in organising and delivering a diverse and exciting portfolio of fundraising events for The Myton Hospices.
As an Events & Campaigns Fundraiser, you’ll support our work by generating vital income, allowing us to continue providing our many services to the people of Coventry and Warwickshire free of charge.
A typical day as an Events & Campaigns Fundraiser might include:
- Stewarding event participants to ensure they have the best possible experience
- Supporting event participants to maximise their fundraising potential
- Administrative tasks in relation to event planning
- Operational and logistics planning
- Creating and implementing marketing plans
- Creating fundraising ideas
This full-time position is based at our Warwick Hospice, and your working hours will typically be Monday to Friday 9-5, with some early, evening or weekend working at our events, some of which will be off-site.
About you:
We’re looking for an Events and Campaign Fundraiser with:
- Experience of organising and promoting events, working with budgets and targets, recruiting and supporting participants, generating sponsorship, and working / negotiating with suppliers
- Skills in time management, organisation, presentation, IT and teamwork
- Creativity
- An eye for detail
- Flexibility
- Professionalism
Because you will need to travel to our events and meet suppliers, you will need a UK driving licence and a vehicle for work.
We will require a standard DBS check because you will be working in a hospice (adult healthcare) environment. We will carry out this check and cover the cost.
We are committed to building an inclusive workplace and encourage everyone to bring their true selves to work. However you identify, and whatever background you bring with you, we welcome you to apply. If there are any adjustments that would help improve your experience with Myton, we encourage you to share this with us.
We particularly welcome applications from people with disabilities and from ethnic minorities, who are currently under-represented in our hospices. We also believe our interview process should be inclusive and transparent. If there is anything missing, or a way we can improve, please do let us know.
