The Role
As a Production Engineer, you will work within the allocated Design Team and surrounding SMEs. The Production Engineer’s main role will be delivering design solutions, ensuring they are fit for manufacture, and effecting tangible improvements to the delivery of the design and manufacturing teams.
Day-to-day, you’ll explore and test the problem space thoroughly in coordination with the design and manufacturing teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Balancing conflicting requirements to come up with an optimal solution
* Articulating assumptions, exclusions, and risks clearly
* Tying down concepts so that they are clear and enable change management
* Tracking the team's spend
* Producing/reviewing local test procedures and manufacturing procedures
Essential experience of the Production Engineer:
* You must have experience designing technical hardware solutions and/or translating these into a manufacturing environment
* You will have significant experience creating concepts and generating solution ideas and exposing those ideas to critique
Essential qualifications for the Production Engineer:
* HNC/HND/Degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering (or equivalent experience)
This role is 37 hours per week based at Haslar.
