This will include creating proposals and closing deals with distributors, overseeing the impactful delivery of our film campaigns, and managing promotion, events, and editorial.
1. Work closely with the Director and the wider team in identifying titles for RTF support, reviewing prospective titles in line with RTF’s curation policy;
2. Create proposals outlining editorial approach, target audiences, what we can offer, and costings – pitching to, and negotiating with, distributors;
3. Lead on communications with distributors/clients, from pitching to closing deals through to regular campaign updates;
4. Oversee Reclaim The Frame’s brand, communication channels and tone of voice, engaging new audiences and maintaining engagement;
5. Drive event sales and engagement, through marketing and outreach campaigns including digital marketing, advertising and grassroots outreach, overseeing the work of the Communications Officer;
6. Manage, motivate and support the Events Producer and Communications Coordinator, setting clear expectations around roles and responsibilities, promoting a culture of inclusion and respect;
7. Host Reclaim The Frame events, and represent RTF at festivals and events, participating on talks and industry panels as required;
8. Deputise for the Director as required;
9. Contribute to and work within Reclaim The Frame’s policies, action plans and procedures in support of RTF’s mission for an equitable, inclusive, safe, fair and compassionate film industry;
10. Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and reporting on the ROI and impact of all of the above.
Person specifications
1. Working knowledge of, and contacts in, the UK distribution-exhibition-awards market and how it operates, with up to date knowledge of the release calendar;
2. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to pitch, present and update clients confidently;
3. An editorial eye, commissioning written/video reviews and responses to films, and devising creative marketing and social media campaigns which delve deeper into the conversations generated by the films;
4. Considerable creativity in programming film events and wrap-around activity;
5. Excellent project management skills, with experience of seeing campaigns through from devising and pitching through to delivery and reporting, delegating and overseeing deadlines across the team;
6. Success in devising and delivering marketing campaigns for films and/or events, across branding, digital media, partnerships work and grassroots outreach, using data to inform decision making and measure impact;
7. Proven ability to deliver successful, target-driven marketing and promotional campaigns;
8. Demonstrable experience in growing and retaining audiences, and developing and deepening engagement;
9. Available to undertake evening and weekend event work and be flexible around the needs of events;
10. Driven, self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with demonstrable experience of forging partnerships;
11. Confident in being an outfacing ambassador for Reclaim The Frame and events host;
12. A passion for creating inclusive events and safe spaces for all communities and a proven interest in championing equity in the film industry.
