Job summary We are looking to recruit a flexible and enthusiastic Band 3 BMA Team leader for our GEH Site in Nuneaton. The post holder will provide support to the Specimen Reception Supervisor by performing pre and post analytical tasks on pathological specimens, in accordance with standard laboratory operating procedures. The successful applicant will provide support in delivering training, compiling staff rotas and ensuring BMA staff compliance with KPIs, including performing PDRs. They will also assist with audits, incident investigation and the reviewing of laboratory documentation such as SOPs and working instructions. Full training and support will be given. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly across shifts and weekends in line with service requirements. Responsible for inputting accurate and timely patient and specimen data on to Trust computerised systems. They must be experienced in all elements of specimen reception. 2. Undertake Competency assessments of the specimen reception procedures to all new staff. 3. To be a point of reference for Health and safety for the department attending and supporting regular Health and Safety meetings held by the division in the absence of the Specimen Reception Supervisor.
