Mange contractors, use Lean and 5S tools to drive maintenance improvements General The role is to ensure maintenance support is continuously provided to the Management Team and production team to achieve a sustained improvement in overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and Maintenance KPIs, whilst assisting the production team in attaining ”best in class” status. The Maintenance Supervisor will have full accountability, control & responsibility for all mechanical/electrical maintenance issues on their shifts, whilst inputting programmed activities to the upcoming shifts being worked. This includes contractor selection and management to delivered the maintenance required. 5S Tools six sigma and Lean tools will be maintained and used by the maintenance supervisor to ensure the site moves to best in class. The position is to be measured through achieving agreed safety, environmental, and other operational performance levels, whilst constantly seeking improvements for sustained business efficiencies. Key Accountabilities The primary activity of the role primarily involves managing maintenance on site and for ensuring that you and the site team follow Heidelberg Materials’ safe systems of works outlined in the IMS. The performance emphasis for this unit includes; Health and Safety: Operating to the highest level of health and safety objectives in line with Heidelberg Materials Health and Safety Plan. Create, implement & communicate a plan of continuous improvement on site. Creating and adhering to risk assessments, safe systems of works and permits to work. Environmental: Operating to the highest level of environmental objectives in line with Hanson’s Contractor Management: Responsible for the organization and supervision of engineering/maintenance contractors as well as the onsite TPM team. Environmental Management Plan. Create, implement & communicate a plan of continuous improvement on site. Compliance: Ensure all statutory legislation and company regulations are adhered to with respect to all operational activities. KPI Delivery: OEE improvement from to sustained 85% KPI Delivery: Maintenance Schedule and Work Order Compliance KPI Delivery: Aim to improve the Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) for all Subunits and Components KPI Delivery: Reduce the Mean time to Repair for maintenance through waste elimination. For the day-to-day activities outlined above to operate effectively, the roles also involves a number of wider aspects, including; CCA: Ensure that CCA targets for continual business improvement are understood by the site team and a culture of continual generation of new CAA is sustained and for ensuring adherence to the Aggregates Management Handbook Global KPI’s: Contribute to the collection of data to allow HeidelbergCement Global KPI’s to be generated. Resource Planning: Ensure the site is adequately staffed with site staff and contractors. Responsibility to train and develop site personnel to acceptable competence levels. Assets should be in place and maintained to ensure the business plan (budget) can be delivered. Ensure personnel are effectively developed and become highly competent. Computerized Maintenance Management System: Ensure that the computerised maintenance management system is installed /utilised to allow the KPI performance targets to be delivered and prioritization of maintenance tasks communicated Controlling: Take charge of maintenance control mechanisms to ensure they are effectively implemented covering all relevant aspects (including Health & Safety, environmental controls, Capex management control, revenue spend controls). Handovers: Ensure that handover procedures are followed by all members of shift to ensure accurate and reliable communication of task-relevant information across shift changes to ensure the continuity of safe and effective working Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Responsibility for continuously improving the site maintenance schedule to improve SHE and KPI performance. 5S: ensures that shift members maintain required standards by carrying out cleaning and housekeeping activities, and any other 5s-related duties as required by management and per the site regime. Unscheduled/Emergency Maintenance: manage unscheduled breakdown/emergency maintenance safely and promptly and following the site breakdown procedure. Responsibility for supplying the site with relevant contractor support on short notice.
