The role of SARC Manager is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required.
Acting as the advocate for patients who attend the centre, you will empower them to feel in control and, where applicable, support them during the forensic examination process.

The SARC Manager will be accountable for coordinating and delivering safe and effective services to all clients of the SARC, meeting national and local targets in relation to rape and sexual assault.
The post-holder will be required to evaluate and assess current service delivery and implement changes in practice that deliver significant and substantial improvements in access and service delivery, whilst working within a budget.
Additionally, the post-holder will be responsible for the management of all employees associated with the SARC.

Each county has its own dedicated Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), and the service has been commissioned to improve the immediate medical response and aftercare offered to victims of sexual assault and rape.
Mountain Healthcare is a specialist business already providing similar services to 20 other SARCs in locations across the UK. For this role, you will work as the SARC Manager and will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to the smooth running of the SARC.
The SARC Manager will effectively lead and manage this multi-agency Centre and services, playing a pivotal role in developing a strategic vision for the service, ensuring changes meet internal and external expectations and budgetary constraints. This role will also help cover the service predominantly out of office hours, including nights and weekends.
This role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. 24 hours management, 16 hours Forensic Nurse.
Starting salary = £47,546.25.
After passing 6-month probation, increase to = £48,546.25.
Once CQC Registered Manager, increase to = £49,591.25.
There is a requirement to be flexible to cover on-call shifts as and when required from 7 am - 7 pm and to travel to SARCs if needed.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (NMC) with a minimum of 3 years post qualification
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Please note, all successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check, two satisfactory references, and Police vetting NVVP Level 2 checks.

Experience
* Basic Life Support (Training Provided).
* Working with vulnerable people.
* Excellent communication skills and styles.
* Proven strong judgement and analysis.
* Venepuncture trained.
* Management/Leadership experience 2+ years.
* Trained to complete forensic examinations.
* Having awareness of SARC commissioning.
* Health and Safety Knowledge in a clinical setting.
