The Process Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and controlling shop floor processes to ensure optimal production performance and product quality within their assigned area. This role includes overseeing product development, working with suppliers, and promptly addressing process issues.
Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to established systems and procedures in the designated area.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate process documentation.
Investigate non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and document findings.
Support trials, installations, and commissioning of new equipment and processes as directed.
Identify and act on opportunities for process improvement.
Participate in quality-influencing activities such as production control, maintenance, and team training to meet quality standards.
Collaborate with internal and external experts as needed to address complex issues.
Maintain accurate and timely data entry into company systems, ensuring information is readily available for decision-making.
Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and use personal protective equipment as required.
Adhere to technical and administrative regulatory and statutory requirements, ensuring alignment with company, national, and international quality standards.
Participate in the Emerging Leaders Programme, IPC training, and other company-endorsed training as needed.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years in Process Engineering
LEAN manufacturing, Six Sigma, FMEA, 5S, SPC, and 8D methodology.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Proficiency in auditing manufacturing processes and documentation.
Understanding of the financial impact of product and process changes.
