Job Details: Think Family Lead Practitioner

Think Family Lead Practitioner
A secondment opportunity is available for a member of staff to take on the role of “Think Family Lead Practitioner” for maternity cover from May 2025 for 12 months. The successful candidate will gain experience taking on a lead role and tasks will include working together within the safeguarding team to:
* Be responsible for supervision and day-to-day management of the service Family Support workers, including volunteers.
* Be responsible for supervision and day-to-day management of the service Domestic Abuse Worker, support with MATAC meetings and reports, dealing with DA safeguarding concerns.
* Coordinate family support across CDDARS (I See I Hear Programme, CRAFT Family programme, Family and Friends groups, etc.).
* Attend meetings and represent CDDARS to partner agencies, Young Carers steering group, MARAC operational steering group meetings, and DCC meetings (Prevention & Early Help Partnership meetings, etc.).
* Support within safeguarding supervisions.
* Represent CDDARS at “The Durham Way” training sessions and deliver presentations on our service offer to partner agencies.
* Support with the implementation of the new “Early Help Assessment” and Stronger Families programme within the service.
* Monitor the Think Family email inbox, recording DA and Family referrals/closures, updating the Think Family shared drive and strategy inbox, and acting as appropriate.
* Lead quarterly “Think Family” drop-in sessions for staff.
The role is countywide, and you would have the opportunity to choose where you would like to be based. As this is a secondment opportunity, your current role would remain available for you to return to after the secondment year is over.
Salary will be Band B and negotiated depending on experience.
