RETAIL OPERATIONS COORDINATOR (FTC)

Responsible for supporting the optimisation of our relationship between John Lewis Store teams and Hush Head Office. Support the Retail Manager on all store communications, recruitment, and onboarding, supporting driving store and team performance.
We're looking for a seasoned Retail professional to join us on an initial 6 month contract to support the operations and development of our Retail business. Hush has a number of concessions across the UK in John Lewis, Morleys and Fenwick stores. You'll be an integral member of the Retail team operating across both Head Office and Stores to drive sales and customer experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Store Manager or Multisite Manager looking to utilise their knowledge of retail operations, management and delivering to sales targets to play a key part in delivering our exciting growth plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Rota and shift management; manage the allocation of staff hours per store in line with budgets, store performance and other considerations. Communicating hours worked to the HR Team for payroll purposes.
* Reviewing store performance of all sites, collating individual reports into central presentations to support business dialogue and decision-making. Ad hoc data collation and formatting for presentation.
* Recruitment support: partnering with HR Team on filtering and screening of candidates for store-based roles.
* Supporting with onboarding Retail new starters, managing onboarding communications post hiring and alongside Concession Manager (where appropriate), coordinating key learnings, induction plan and running probation check ins with all new starters.
* Responsible for the coordination of Retail weekly check-ins. To include agenda creation, managing invitee attendance and the provision of notes/minutes post-meeting to relevant stakeholders. Drives the sharing of best practice images from stores to the wider team.
* Alongside Retail Manager and HR, supporting and addressing training needs of the Retail team to make Hush Retail a high-performing team.
* Supporting upskilling where required, ensuring all new product drops are communicated with accuracy and impact and responding to initiatives to drive in-store performance.
* Directly supporting key sites with all new collection launches, supporting with visual merchandising for more substantial changes if required or where new concessions/stores are onboarded.
* Highlighting stock needs and commercial actions in stores visited to drive business performance. Work closely with Merchandising team to address stock opportunities in stores.
* Ensuring Concession Managers/Sales Associates receive all reports for weekly store visits.
* Collating feedback from stores on underperforming lines to provide to Buying and Design teams.
* Supporting sample sale coordination via 3rd party.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience within a Retail environment, ideally working across multiple sites within a concession/host stores setup.
* Excellent analytical skills: able to extract key data and drive actions on KPI’s including ASP, category mix, weekly cover, sales targets and returns rate.
* Strong understanding of visual merchandising and ability to influence this to support driving turnover whilst maintaining brand direction.
* Must be available to travel in line with business needs and have a hands-on approach to store visits (visiting minimum 3 stores per week).
* Proven ability to inspire, manage, support and develop a remote team.
* Strong ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
* Confident with using Excel for basic sums and can use all Microsoft suite apps.
