Job Description
Head of Facilities function to ensure elevated serviceability and functionality of all UK training centres and owned accommodation.
This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of buildings, equipment, and services within Skyborne UK. Primary focus to ensure that the work and living environment is safe, functional, and conducive to productivity and general wellness. Oversight of three UK training centres (based across two sites), and Cheltenham accommodation. This role is Gloucester based, with regular travel to Bournemouth.
Duties Include:
* Oversight and day to day management of employed facilities team ensuring their work is prioritised appropriately and carried out to the correct standard.
* Primary point of contact for any maintenance issues identified in the training locations.
* Ensure all building services are compliant with safety standards through regular audits and routine external checks.
* Engagement and management of specialist services to ensure serviceable and functional environment for staff and trainees at all UK locations.
* Ensure IT services are to the required standard and support the equipment need for new starters. (Facilitated through Alexsys).
* Oversee maintenance and repairs, coordinating with maintenance staff or external contractors as required
* Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
* Manage facilities budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.
* Recruit, train and supervise facilities staff, including housekeeping and maintenance personnel
* Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and excellent customer service
* Seeking opportunities to best utilise available space and optimise usage for business needs.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth communications and coordination
Qualifications
* Proven experience in facilities management, property management, or a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance operations.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
* Familiarity with budget management and cost control.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
* Hold an unrestricted UK Driving Licence.
Additional Information
Full Time - 40 hours, Monday - Friday.
Occasional weekend work
Salary £60,000 (depending on experience)
