We’re seeking a dynamic Senior HR Business Partner to join our Strategy and Business Services team, based within our Southampton office. Our overarching aim in Strategy and Business Services is to be a trusted partner to our Corporate Shipbuilding colleagues, and in the people space, we strive to create a consistent employee experience for our people wherever they are located, whilst ensuring that we adhere to the necessary operating model and legislation for each of our employing entities.
Role Overview
Within Corporate Shipbuilding, we balance a complex global employment model, contracting our people through multiple employing entities across five different countries. The HR operating model depends on our ability to leverage partnerships with HR and Payroll Services from across Carnival Corporation, as well as outsourced providers to ensure a seamless service is provided to our people. This role is critical to ensuring these relationships are effective in delivering HR services to our colleagues around the world and align with Corporate Shipbuilding’s overarching people strategy.
This role is required to partner People Leads, providing consistently high-quality HR advice, coaching, support and influence that enables the effective delivery of their people plans/strategies.
Key accountabilities include:
* Partner and support the People Leads and Executive Team within Corporate Shipbuilding, enabling them to identify their functional people priorities and implement appropriate interventions.
* Drive value-add relationships with stakeholders within Corporate Shipbuilding, as well as with the HR service providers for each country in order to support our people with HR related matters, advising on HR best practice whilst accounting for local differences in legislation.
* HR lead for CTS Oy, CTS GmbH and our colleagues employed via Costa Crociere, ensuring continuous improvement in the HR operating model and the employee experience, as well as seamless ways of working with our internal and external HR stakeholders.
* Lead the creation and ongoing development of a global mobility matrix to support an agile workforce.
* Support organisation design/development initiatives across all areas, taking into account country-specific requirements and limitations in order to improve business efficiency.
* Work alongside the People Leads on planning and implementing any change management initiatives, ensuring HR best practice and legal implications in all areas are balanced with business needs.
Position Requirements
Our ideal candidates are those who possess not only the experience and technical requirements but also a passion for people and a keen eye for detail.
Required Qualifications and Skills
* Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a business, HR or other discipline.
* Level 7 qualified member of the CIPD (or similar professional body).
* Demonstrate continuous professional development in employment law matters in the UK and other locations.
* “HR qualified” by practical experience in relation to the job role particularly in the area of business partnering, change management, employee relations, global mobility and HR cyclical activities.
* International HR experience, ideally with knowledge of countries where our employees are currently based (Finland, Germany, Italy and Netherlands).
* Demonstrable partnership capabilities, balancing business needs and HR thought leadership.
* Relationship management and experience of working and influencing at more senior levels.
* Working in a complex organisation ideally with remote customers or multi-site environment.
* Experience in dealing with complex HR issues, planning and implementing successful outcomes.
* Successfully balance conflicting and changing priorities.
* Organised, with a proven ability to prioritise according to the changing requirements of the business.
* Confident in all Microsoft Office applications.
