Your next role
The successful applicant will progress their vibration serviceability design abilities, whilst continuing to develop their static design skills. They will be programmed into projects where dynamics support is required, such as stadium grandstands and roofs, laboratories, airports, timber framed offices, and feature staircases.
Responsibilities:
1. Improving vibration serviceability design abilities, whilst developing static design skills.
2. Providing dynamics support to projects including stadium grandstands and roofs, laboratories, airports, timber framed offices, and feature staircases.
3. Working independently and as part of a team to offer creative solutions.
4. Supporting the team with calculations, models, reports, and presentations to an excellent standard, on time and to budget.
5. Sharing your work for review by senior colleagues and reviewing the work of others for quality assurance.
6. Creating an atmosphere of delivering excellent work encouraging others to do the same.
7. Representing Buro Happold at design team meetings, working with approval authorities on designs and proposals.
8. Managing relationships with internal and external clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.
9. Sharing knowledge internally and on behalf of Buro Happold at meetings and events.
Your skills & experience
1. Degree in Structural Engineering or other relevant subject.
2. Working towards chartered membership with a professional institution.
3. Experience working in the built environment.
4. Previous experience of vibration serviceability design.
5. Desire and aspiration to develop your capabilities in the field of structural dynamics.
