Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as Instrument Assembly Technician within the Specialty Lab Diagnostics business line at our facility in Llanberis.
This is a great opportunity to join and support the delivery of a crucial strategic project for our SLS business line and Llanberis. As an Instrument Assembly Technician you will be empowered to, build, test, develop, and standardise all manufactured assembly processes, so that they are built following the standards set out in IED (Interactive Electronic Documentation = equivalent to a digital batch record) that will form the overall construction of an IMMULITE XPi analyser.
You will work in partnership with the existing instrument knowledge transfer team to develop best practices in workstation design, and manufacturing flow to ensure a smooth manufacturing ramp up and the subsequent development of a world class operation in our Llanberis facility.
This role will start on a day’s 8:30am to 4:30pm, and will move to 6am to 2pm and a 2pm to a 10pm shift pattern, 5 days per week.
Job Responsibilities:
Build and test mechanical and electrical assemblies compliantly following IED
Provide input to the process for the control and disposition of any non-conforming materials, completing tasks, documentation, and segregating materials as required within documented working practices.
Effectively communicate with both internal & external suppliers/stakeholders. Be point of contact to escalate issues as required, ensuring consistency and adherence to processes.
Complete assigned training within the defined timescales.
Provide support for both Internal and 3rd party site audits.
Participate in TS5QDIP meetings, provide accurate and timely reports, and take ownership for the achievement of target KPI's and operational performance for the role.
Actively use business systems such as IED, CATSWEB, CERDAAC, SAP, Documentum & Learn4U.
Ensuring compliance with QMS and all safety, health and environmental (SHE) legislation.
Your Skills & Experience:
You will be curious, keen to understand, learn and try new things, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Proficiency with testing equipment and tools to build mechanical and electrical assemblies.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
GDP & GMP (Good Documentation Practices & Good Manufacturing Practices)Desirable Qualifications:
3 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Electrical and mechanical knowledge
IT literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
Experience with IMMULITE XPI instruments or similar diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge of quality control and assurance processes.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
