TCS Screeding Ltd are the first-choice Floor Screeding contractor for residential and commercial developments, servicing the whole of the UK with a strong focus in London and the M25 Area. Incorporated in 2004, we continue to focus on providing our clients with first class, defect-free floor screeding, under floor heating services, and floor finishes.
The opportunity has now arisen for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Accounts Department. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director and will provide support to the Accounts Manager and the Commercial Department.
This role is perfect for anyone who has worked within the construction industry as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role and is now looking to build their career in a key position within an established company.
The main duties of the role are as follows:
1. Chasing retentions from clients
2. Chasing payments from clients
3. Preparing and sending invoices to clients
4. Amending invoices if required
5. Preparing and amending the invoice list for monthly applications
6. Keeping record of all payments coming in
7. Keeping job folders and relevant spreadsheets up to date
8. Generating reports
9. Setting up credit limits and managing credit insurance portal
10. Assisting with Accounts Payable when required
11. General Admin Tasks
This list is not exhaustive, and there may be other tasks assigned by your manager.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar role in Accounts, preferably within the construction industry.
* Qualified in AAT Level 3 or above
* Impeccable organisational skills
* High level of attention to detail
* Ability to spot and investigate discrepancies and irregularities
* Effective communication skills
* Accounting background
* Ability to prioritise workload and manage expectations
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and financial-related software
* Confident telephone manner
* Can-do attitude and perseverance
Desired Skills & Experience:
* Experience in the Construction Industry
* Experience in the Commercial/Residential Flooring sector
* Driving licence preferred due to the location of the offices.

Please note this role is an in-person position and will be based full-time at our Head Office in Orpington. The hours are 9am - 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch, Monday to Friday.
