Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, food safety, and culinary management. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to manage a diverse team effectively while ensuring the highest standards of service and food production are maintained. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving business growth within our pub/restaurant environment. Live in accommodation provided.
Duties
* Lead and manage all aspects of operations, including cellar management, kitchen management, food production, and service delivery.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the establishment.
* Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and profitability.
* Train, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve excellence in service and teamwork.
* Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to maximise profitability.
* Foster a positive working environment that encourages collaboration and high performance among team members.
* Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to ensure satisfaction.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations across the pub/restaurant.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
* Excellent leadership skills with a track record of effective team management.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A passion for hospitality with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
