Key responsibilities:
* Assembly of Composite components in line with Drawings, CAD or MoM, ensuring correct fixturing is used where required.
* Carry out any small out of “Fettling” as required using approved equipment and processes.
* Ensure Jigs and Fixtures are checked and maintained in line with Tooling Documents. With full calibration checks done as per schedule.
* Follow Health & Safety requirements along with ensuring you have read any COSHH documents before using materials.
* Maintain documentation and bookings against jobs.
* Feedback assembly / component issues to Line Manager
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fitter in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably with experience in composite materials or related industries.
* Vocational training or certification in mechanical fitting, engineering, or a related field.
* Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
* High level of precision and attention to detail in fitting and assembly tasks.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively across departments.
* Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with composite materials and processes.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
