We are currently recruiting for an experienced, caring, and reliable individual with a passion for childcare to join our team at our Portobello Nursery. This position will require you to support a specific individual child on a 1:1 basis.
Previous additional needs experience with children or adults is preferential, however, the main attributes we are looking for are someone who is reliable, confident, and calm.
Main Duties:
1. To ensure care plan/support plans are up to date and that all staff team are aware.
2. Working as part of a team to plan appropriate activities and trips.
3. Supporting the child to access activities.
4. Providing and promoting appropriate choice to the child.
5. Supporting with eating and drinking.
6. Support with personal care (toileting, teeth brushing if required).
7. Use of appropriate communication supports.
8. Following implemented behaviour plans and support strategies.
9. Ensuring the child is integrated with the group.
10. Attending child planning meetings/meetings with external bodies as required.

The successful applicant will be subject to a PVG check and must be willing to register with the SSSC and meet registration conditions.

Pay: From £12.00 per hour
