Career Teachers are proud to be working with a wide range of schools throughout the Derby and Derbyshire areas. We are looking for Cover Supervisors to work with us across secondary schools.
You don't need to have any teaching qualifications; you just need the passion and drive to support and guide pupils through key stage 3 and 4 learning modules.
The main responsibility of the role is to manage the classroom of pupils and ensure they are working effectively on their pre-set work across a range of subjects, including; English, Science, Maths, Drama, PE and many more.
The size of classes will vary (up to 30 students), so we require confident individuals who can pro-actively engage and lead the classroom towards to competition of their work whilst maintaining the standard of tidiness throughout the day in line with school policies and procedures.
What do we look for?
As a cover supervisor, you will be used to working within a team focused environment and support your colleagues where required, as you will be working closely alongside other staff members, such as teachers and teaching assistants throughout the school. You will have a passion for leading and working with the students and encouraging them achieve the best results possible as they work towards their key stage 3 and 4 exams. You will be delivering pre-prepared work, keeping students focused and motivated, whilst also managing students behaviour. You are also expected to keep the classroom clean and tidy throughout the day during your scheduled lessons.

Experience within a teaching role is not essential, but is preferred.
Salary & working hours:
Daily rates of pay vary dependent on experience between £83.50 to £100.
This is a flexible role with both full-time and part-time positions available - meaning, you have full control of when you are looking to work and how many hours you want to complete.
All quoted rates are inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay.
