About the role
Lloyd & Whyte, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for talented Development Executives to join our Direct Corporate Risks Ltd team.
The successful candidate will attract new clients in your area of specialism (either Cyber, Construction or High Risk Liability Insurance) working to deliver an exceptional service experience to our client base, with a focus on expertise, excellent customer service and the provision of market leading products.

Key responsibilities
* To design, create and lead the successful delivery of a new proposition and team within a niche, specialist sector, ideally one of the Cyber, Construction or High Risk Liability sectors, using your own contacts and previous background.
* To build and maintain relationships, finding new potential introducers to clients in the sector.
* Develop a significant level of technical and industry expertise within your chosen sector, and to utilise this expertise when creating product propositions for our target clients.
* To provide market leading risk management services, particularly with regards to motor fleet risks using our tech-enabled claims system which provides automatic insights and data to guide strategy.
* In conjunction with your direct report, to prepare and agree monthly and annual sales forecasts, targets, plans and budgets for your respective sales area.
* To be responsible for achievement of all sales forecasts, plans, programmes and budgets in your respective sales area.
* Monitor performance against objectives, forecasts, plans, targets and budgets and provide regular feedback to the Development Director in this respect.
* To identify and generate own leads via LinkedIn, cold calling, introducers, partnerships. The business shall also provide leads to you to supplement your own activities.
* To work closely with the Account Handling and claims teams, ensuring the very highest level of service and excellence at all times.
* Identify, recommend and agree corrective action with the Development Director as appropriate, where deviations in performance below plans occur, or where other problems arise affecting sales or customer satisfaction.
* To promote and maintain an internal and external brand of professionalism, expertise and excellence.
* To assist with marketing efforts including the provision of content, attendance at industry events and other activities as may be required from time to time.
Knowledge, skills and experience
* Expert knowledge of the UK Commercial Insurance Market.
* Proven success and demonstrable expertise within the Haulage sector.
* Existing book of business or clients within one of our specialist sectors (not essential).
* Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance.
* Outcome focused.
* Self-motivated & Enthusiastic.
* Ability to manage your own time and prioritise work without supervision, to meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail, numerate and accurate.
* Strong contribution to the team through own ideas, initiatives and concepts.
