Teaching Assistant
Location: Secondary School, Hartlepool
Salary: £400-£500 per week, depending on experience
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team, at a secondary school in Hartlepool. The successful candidate will work closely with students and staff to support learning across various subjects, ensuring that all students reach their full potential.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about education, with the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. You will be working with a diverse range of students, supporting both individual needs and classroom activities, helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons and the management of the classroom.
* Provide targeted support for students with additional learning needs.
* Foster positive relationships with students, promoting confidence and independence in their learning.
* Help prepare resources, manage classroom activities, and ensure the safety and well-being of students.
* Support with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and any specific interventions for students requiring additional support.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents when required.
The Ideal Candidate:
* A passion for working with young people and a desire to help them succeed.
* Previous experience working with secondary-age students (ideal but not essential).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive and positive approach to supporting students in the classroom.
* The ability to work as part of a team and use initiative.
* A willingness to undergo relevant training and development.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
* Further qualifications in education or teaching assistant roles are desirable, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
