The underwriting department supports the Bank by processing mortgage applications for new and existing borrowers, ensuring that the Bank’s lending policy and appetite for risk are correctly applied. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide a high level of support to the underwriting team; ensuring that daily activities are processed and administered correctly. No two days are the same in this role, with a varied and interesting workload you will gain exposure to the mortgage lifecycle whilst working with a supportive and well-established team. Your responsibilities will include… To aid in the administration of a busy underwriting department and assist the Underwriters in providing an excellent service to Mortgage Brokers. Typing, collating and sending mortgage offers to our customers and solicitors. Performing practical administrative tasks, including: scanning, storing and sending documents checking that documents are allocated correctly data entry and maintaining spreadsheets Providing a consistently high quality of customer service to both external and internal customers whilst understanding and adhering to the organisations data governance policies.
