Located on the edge of the Lake District National Park, Furness College is a vibrant, innovative and fast-paced FE College, benefiting from strong partnerships with local employers and universities. We offer an extensive range of courses with a particular emphasis on technical learning, apprenticeships and Higher Education, in addition to the broadest A’ level offer in Cumbria. Cover / Supply Teacher We are looking to increase our pool of talented Teachers/Tutors/Lecturers at the college, so if you have expertise and skill set across our wide range of courses or curriculum (Level 1 to degree level), then we would love to hear from you. You could be added to a bank of staff who are able to support on an ad hoc basis or provide sick/absence cover when required. Our key areas of need are in Engineering including Fabrication & Welding and Electrical Installations, and Construction. We are also looking for Maths and English cover. However, if you have a skill set from our other curriculum areas, or you are an experienced teacher, then we would still love to speak to you. Salary: Up to £35 per hour (this includes allowance for departmental duties). Hours: As these roles are to provide ad hoc temporary cover for periods of absences or vacancies, the working hours vary.
