Due to continued growth, they are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to join their team, covering the Hereford and surrounding areas. About the Role: As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of material handling equipment, ensuring the customers experience minimal downtime. You will work independently and on-site at customer locations, delivering a professional and reliable service that upholds the companies strong reputation in the market. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet trucks, reach trucks). Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and keeping them informed of work progress. Maintain accurate service records and ensure timely completion of paperwork. Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to share knowledge and technical expertise. Ideal Candidate: Experience: Proven experience in field service engineering, ideally within the material handling, automotive, plant, or similar industry. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Engineering is highly desirable. Problem-Solving: A methodical approach to troubleshooting and repair work. Customer-Focused: Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering top-notch service.
