Project Engineering Manager
Location: Cheltenham, UK (Hybrid working)

Role Overview:
The Project Engineering Manager will lead, manage and develop a technical team covering GOGC and Green-Tec activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for processes and after sales support functions to support the business and to ensure customer delight.
The Project Engineering Manager will provide outstanding technical authority and competitive value to the customer through effective technical support, project management and proposals.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on:
* Design reviews and ultimate design authority sign-off for customer solution designs
* Providing clear direction and enthusiastic leadership to the technical, projects and project management teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the business
* Providing appropriate responses to technical and commercial enquiries, carrying out contract reviews, order processing, progress, documentation and all other aspects associated when managing projects
* Multi stakeholder liaison across all areas of Steam Thermal Solutions
* Identifying breakthrough process improvements to ensure robust procedures are in place and appropriate metrics and KPIs/KPMs exist, utilising the team improvement boards to drive the right behaviours
* Taking true ownership ensuring that the customer order will meet the need, including delivery constraints which will provide customers with high-value solutions to help them reduce costs, increase profit or to help them improve productivity
* Providing exemplary technical advice and delivering the best Spirax Sarco experience and technical authority for the Sales Company
Your previous experience is likely to include:
* Completion of an Engineering qualification, or equivalent
* A proven track record working in a similar business, industry or contracting environment
* Demonstrable experience and understanding of highly technical and complex specifications, under pressure with the appropriate project management skills
* Coaching, managing and leading through others, specifically managing highly technical, experienced teams
* Identifying and implementing business or process improvements
* Working within a senior technical and/or projects management role for a major organisation
* Project managing complex package projects in a customer facing role
