WHAT YOU CAN OFFER US…
* Extensive experience of working within supported accommodation for 16 to 25 year olds.
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted and Supported Accommodation regulations.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to line manage a team.
* Ability to manage a rota ensuring staff are provided with a work life balance.
* Ability to work on own initiative as well as a working as part of a team.
* Ability to coach staff to ensure we provide high quality support.
* Skilled in time and work management, able to prioritise tasks as necessary.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
It is essential that you have the experience of both line management and working in a supported accommodation environment, primarily with 16 to 25 year olds. The role is suited to someone who can manage their time well and re-prioritise daily, as and when the work changes.
Therefore, the ideal candidate must have:
* The competence and confidence to manage two homes.
* A relevant qualification within this field (Childcare, Social Work, Youth Work)
* Experience of managing shifts as a team leader in residential or outreach services for young people.
* Experience of line management duties e.g. conducting one-to-ones, conducting return to work meetings, appraisals, managing a rota, authorising your team annual leave etc.
* Minimum of 2 years of working within supported accommodation.
* Minimum of 1 year of managing staff.
* The ability to coach staff effectively to enable them to provide high quality support.
* The ability to act calmly and purposefully in crisis situations.
* The ability to prioritise effectively across a range of demands.
* The ability to create solutions in response to challenges whilst working within agreed parameters.
* The ability to communicate effectively and confidently conveying clear messages in writing or verbally.
* The ability to be able to prepare and present reports, written and verbal.
* Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively and co-operatively with all professional colleagues and service users.
