About the Opportunity Working as part of our Asset Care team at Sellafield, we are looking for an Assistant Safety Advisor to join our growing team. You will be expected to carry out functional support to the HSE Team. Our work is multi-discipline and covers various areas of the Sellafield site, experience of the Sellafield site would be beneficial. The role involves liaising and working collaboratively with our many stakeholders including our client, sub-contractors and colleagues within the supply chain and so customer facing experience would be an advantage. Strong presentation skills both in speaking and in preparation and strong analytical and problem-solving skills would be advantageous. Requiring a strong team player, this role will involve working with our workforce and training departments and assisting in the delivery of site and classroom-based courses. Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be working towards joining the safety team in a HSE Advisor role and your duties will require you to: - Assist in site safety inspections and audits. - Assist with inductions, briefings and Toolbox Talks. - Assist HSE Advisors across the framework and accompany on site duties. - Assist HSE Manager on new initiatives for 2025. - Promote & drive HSE related campaigns. - Perform role of training liaison, working with training on logistics and delivery. - Assist with month end reporting and collation of information and statistics. - Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders including client, regulators & sub-contractors. Qualifications and Experience: - NEBOSH National General Certificate (or demonstrable progress in working towards) - SC Security clearance or ability to gain it. - Understanding of the nuclear and construction industries. - Sellafield site experience. - Experience of delivery (or assisting) of training courses is an advantage. - Awareness of HSE in the workplace in your current role - Full UK Drivers Licence. - Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office programmes, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Teams. This means that you will need to have, or be able to obtain, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and either Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
