Fire and Security Engineer Opportunity Salary £45,000, with OT £65,000 company van with personal use Typical day as a Fire and Security Engineer Carry out service, install and small works of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV and minor works on access control systems Fault Troubleshooting: Responding promptly to maintenance calls, diagnosing faults in fire alarms, and restoring functionality or replacing components as necessary. Typical sites you will be working on are commercial, retail, rail, industrial and office premises Documentation and Reporting: Producing detailed reports for each service visit, documenting all work undertaken, materials used, and any issues encountered. The Successful Fire and Security Qualities - Technical Expertise: Proficiency with leading manufacturers such as GENT, Kentec, CTEC, Morley, Advanced Electronics, Ziton, Hochiki, Apollo, and Xtralis is preferred. Customer Service Skills: Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility: Adaptability to accommodate unpredictable schedules, including availability for evening or weekend work when required. Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in fire protection, with a background in maintenance or testing of fire alarm systems. Skills: Basic computer skills, IPAF certification, and CSCS Card are advantageous. Knowledge: Familiarity with BS5839-1, BS5839-6 & BS5266 standards, fire alarm installation, and cause and effect programming.
