we’re looking for a General Manager who can bring out the best in our team and
connect with the community, making The Foundry a go-to spot for all.

BRING TO THE FOUNDRY
A Master
of Craft: As GM,
you’ll oversee operations with strong experience in hotel and bar management.
Your expertise in the bar scene and dedication to quality will set the tone in
our spaces, bringing a taste of Belfast to each guest experience.
A Local
Tastemaker: Your
presence will extend beyond the hotel. Already familiar with Belfast’s local
scene, with a knack for engagement, you’ll create strong ties with the
community, making The Foundry a welcoming space where locals and visitors alike
feel connected.
People
Shaper: You’ll bring
solid experience in hospitality management to lead a motivated, high-energy
team. With your leadership skills, you’ll bring people together, keeping things
running smoothly, and support everyone’s growth – making The Foundry a place
where the team is as engaged as our guests.
DAY-TO-DAY: THE ROLES
YOU’LL PLAY

Oversee
all restaurant, bar, and guest services.

Strategise
for profitability while ensuring smooth, daily operations.

Engage
with Belfast’s locals and visitors, building The Foundry’s reputation as a go
to destination.

Curate
experiences that leave guests with a true taste of Belfast’s charm.

Manage
budgeting, track costs and drive profitability through strategic initiatives.

Ensure
compliance with health and safety regulations.

With
the support of the Deputy GM, recruit, train, and lead all Foundry employees.

Work
with marketing and social media teams or agencies to promote events, seasonal
menus, and special offerings.

Build
and maintain relationships with local PR agencies to increase visibility and
attract a diverse clientele.

Analyse
customer feedback and reviews to improve service and enhance the guest
experience.

Oversee
scheduling and payroll, balancing staff needs with business demand.

Ensure
high standards in cleanliness and presentation across all guest areas.

Plan
and manage events to boost guest engagement and increase revenue.
