Engineering Manager
A challenging role for an accomplished Engineering Manager to oversee engineering and maintenance functions in a heavy industrial environment.
About the Role:
This key leadership position places you at the heart of operations, managing essential engineering functions for a well-established and safety-conscious facility.
* Act as statutory competent authority for maintenance functions in accordance with relevant regulations.
* Drive maintenance KPIs and standards, ensuring safety protocols are embedded in every process and environmental impacts are kept in check.
* Manage equipment reliability and costs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement local maintenance policies in alignment with industry standards and legal requirements.
* Lead health, safety, and environmental improvement initiatives across the site.
* Strategically plan, budget, and execute capital projects to optimise performance and tap into new resources.
* Oversee a team of dedicated professionals, fostering an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We seek an individual with a deep-rooted background in a heavy industrial environment, such as mining, quarrying, tunnelling, or similar settings.
* A degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, ideally with Chartered Engineer status (or working towards).
* Extensive experience in maintenance operations within heavy industry, preferably with mining or quarrying exposure.
* Familiarity with Conveyors, Hydraulics, and large Diesel plant.
* Strong knowledge of safety management and compliance (NEBOSH or IOSH qualified).
* Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies, such as WCM.
* Strong leadership skills, ability to inspire and motivate a team to improve performance.
* Strong stakeholder management skills.

Working Arrangements:
This is a full-time position based at one of our strategic sites. The ideal candidate will be required to work on-site and may be required to travel occasionally.
