Job Description
Job title: Housekeeping Coordinator
Department: Housekeeping
Inspired & supported by: Executive Housekeeper
Salary: £34,680 (including service charge)
Your purpose will be: To provide an extraordinary and seamless guest experience whilst communicating with all teams and ensuring a high attention to detail. A strong level of initiative and team spirit is essential in this role.
You will be accountable for:
1. Handle all internal and external calls to housekeeping and distribute information efficiently through full utilisation and monitoring of Opera, REX, and RSM.
2. Working on a rotational basis - morning, evening, and weekends.
3. Setting teams up for success through undertaking of schedules, task lists, guest preparation, and other administration tasks.
4. Supporting the leadership and able to cover supervisory support.
Your key responsibilities & contribution will be:
1. Oversee staffing levels, timesheets, holiday requests, and sickness.
2. Deal with all telephone calls and requests.
3. Keep close communication with Front Office.
4. Liaise with Front Office reception regarding the position of rooms.
5. Liaise with the Floor Housekeepers.
6. Deal with Contractors.
7. General office duties.
8. Preparation of all arrival and in-house guest requirements.
9. Assist in any duty required for the smooth running of the department.
10. Record Lost & Found and deal with inquiries.
11. Carry out floor supervisor duties when required.
12. Comply with any reasonable requests by the Supervisor and Hotel Management.
13. Ensure all internal and external calls are handled according to our service standards.
14. Knowledge of all telephone systems.
15. Ensure clear communication channels and methods with all other departments in order to facilitate complete guest service.
16. Housekeeping and rooms coordination to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
17. Initiate, develop, and maintain excellent service standards with a consistent focus on the guest experience.

What you will need to do this role:
1. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with people of all levels.
2. Proven organizational skills and able to work independently.
3. Enthusiastic and positive with the ability to build trusting relationships.
4. Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
5. Keen eye for detail.
6. Flexibility to work different shifts - mornings, evenings, and weekends.
