SEN Teaching Assistant | Newark, NG24 | £95 - £105 per day | Mon-Fri, 8:30 - 16:30 | ASAP Start Long Term Futures is working with a specialist school in the Newark (NG24) area on this exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will support young people with autism spectrum disorders and associated conditions. The school provides a calm and caring environment, ensuring each pupil receives an individualised learning experience tailored to their needs. What Does the School Offer? A collaborative team environment working towards student development.What Will My Role Involve? Supporting individuals or small groups in the classroom under the guidance of teaching staff. Implementing planned learning activities and adjusting them based on student responses. Assisting students with special educational needs and/or those for whom English is an additional language. Monitoring student progress and reporting to relevant staff. Supporting pupils' social and emotional well-being throughout the school day.How Can I Be Successful? Experience working with SEN students is desirable. A compassionate and patient approach to supporting learning. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and professionals. A proactive attitude in adapting to students' individual needs.
