Role: Site Manager / Senior Site Manager - Number 2 on site
Project: New Build Industrial Unit, Milton Keynes
Duration: 12 months
My client, a leading contractor in the Commercial build space, is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager or Senior Site Manager on a brand new 12 million project in Milton Keynes.
The ideal person will have previously worked on Industrial build / Shed projects and have 5+ years experience in Site Management. This is a fast paced project but a great opportunity for a freelancer as they are looking for someone for the full duration of the project. They are currently completing foundations / earthworks, so you will be managing the project from inception to completion.
Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership: Take charge of the entire construction process, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
* Steel Frame Expertise: Oversee the installation of the steel frame structure, including foundation work, steel erection, and cladding.
* Health and Safety: Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
* Quality Assurance: Monitor workmanship to ensure top-notch quality throughout the project.
* Supply Chain Coordination: Implement effective supply chain strategies and manage deliveries.
* Team Management: Lead and motivate the site team, including subcontractors and skilled tradespeople.
* Reporting: Provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Previous Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Manager, specifically with industrial steel frame projects.
* Certifications: Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) certifications are essential.
* Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with steel frame construction techniques and best practices.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges proactively and find practical solutions.
* Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
