About the Role
The Advanced Social Work Practitioner will support the Principal Manager in delivering the commissioned social work contract for Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

You will apply evidence-based practices and advanced clinical skills to address social, psychological, and legal issues, demonstrating knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks.
You will deputize for the Principal Manager and provide practice supervision to the social work team to maintain high standards of service.
This leadership role involves supporting team development, recognizing and encouraging team strengths, and contributing to wider service delivery.

You will collaborate closely with families, friends, external professionals, and stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes.
You will possess sound knowledge of safeguarding adults and children and lead these efforts within the service.

* You will provide clinical supervision and support career development for colleagues.
* You will develop leadership skills supporting the principal manager and deputize when necessary.
* If an AMHP, you will fulfill statutory responsibilities for Salford’s AMHP rota.
* You will work flexibly to meet service needs.
* You will undertake other duties as assigned, consistent with the role.
* You will model and uphold our values and behaviors.
* You will demonstrate proven skills and a track record of delivering outcomes.
* You will hold a recognized social work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
* You will have achieved Level 3 social work status.
* You will have a thorough understanding of the needs of young people with complex mental health issues.
* You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, partner agencies, families, and carers.
* You will make effective, timely decisions centered on the individual.
* You will adapt to service needs and lead change within the team.
* You will understand supervision models and strive for best practice standards.
* You will be highly skilled in safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
* You will have a solid knowledge of legislation affecting recovery.
* You will produce high-standard assessments and reports.
