Senior Electrical Engineer - Due to continued growth, a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic M&E consultancy based in Birmingham has arisen.
This role will see you technically and creatively challenged on exciting developments in the UK. As a Senior Engineer, you will be a key part of the team and have a high degree of self-government. You will have strong technical expertise, good leadership, and problem-solving skills, and be a forward planner with the ability to deliver high-standard work to project programmes. You should also be able to take on the management of more junior team members, along with client relationship management.
A strong track record in multiple sectors would be an advantage with experience working on a variety of medium-sized projects. You'll be part of an enthusiastic and committed team of Engineers and Technicians delivering high-quality output on projects. An ability to develop and nurture relationships with clients is also essential.
As the successful Senior Electrical Engineer, you will ideally have at least 7 years working within the building services sector and will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Produce design deliverables (including drawings, specifications, and reports), site surveys, construction stage duties, client liaison with members of design/construction teams, project management, costing, and ensure progress against the project brief.
2. Check calculations and production of detailed drawings to ensure engineering designs meet appropriate quality and compliance controls, project brief and customer requirements.
3. Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary members of the design team to deliver safe, efficient, and buildable solutions.
4. Contribute to the preparation of enquiry plans, tender reviews, fee estimate sheets, scopes of work and change controls as required. Management of Engineers and Technicians in the production of calculations, design deliverables (including drawings, specifications, and reports), site surveys, construction stage duties, client liaison, liaison with members of design/construction teams, project management, costing and any other relevant duty.
5. Making client presentations on selected projects.
6. Helping to generate repeat business through building relationships with clients.
7. Be client-facing and involved in all stages of the projects from inception to completion.
