Job Advert Role Description:
The role is divided between the Acute Adult ward and CAMHS outpatients.
Priory North London is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic clinical/counselling psychologist to join a small and dedicated inter-departmental team. The team offers services across the hospital, and supports a number of specialist services. Reporting to the Specialist Therapies Lead, the successful candidate will hold the following responsibilities:
* Work on both our private and NHS acute units, supporting service users with complex mental health needs
* Provide both group and 1:1 support to both inpatients and outpatients
* Provide supervision to junior colleagues
* Hold a small caseload of CAMHS outpatients
* Support with new service initiatives, linking in with the North London site as well as the greater hospital group
Requirements:
* Relevant degree allowing HCPC registration (HCPC registration must be in place at the time of application)
* Be able to deliver more than one therapy modality, with a minimum of CBT and at least two other modalities
* Ability to work across the lifespan
* Ability to carry out assessments
* Flexibility, enthusiasm, creativity and proactivity, as well as team-playing alongside independent case load management
Desirable:
* Experience of supervising others
* DBT skills
