Nursery Manager Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our team and ensure the highest standards of care, education, and compliance within our nursery. Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are met.
2. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of early years professionals to deliver outstanding care and education.
3. Develop and implement a high-quality curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
4. Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
5. Manage nursery budgets, occupancy levels, and financial performance to support business success.
6. Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children's development and well-being.
7. Conduct regular staff training, appraisals, and performance reviews to ensure professional development.
8. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Ofsted and other regulatory bodies.
9. Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance nursery standards and practices.
Requirements
1. Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (Level 5 or above preferred).
2. Proven experience in a managerial role within an early years setting.
3. Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted requirements.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to manage budgets, occupancy, and operational targets effectively.
6. Passionate about delivering high-quality childcare and early education.
