Cloud Systems Administrator– IIR35 £450PD – 6 months A reputable public sector corporation is hiring a Cloud Systems Administrator to join their dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Office 365, Exchange 365 (including hybrid environments), and Proofpoint mail hygiene solutions. This role will involve managing cloud infrastructure, email security, and identity management solutions, with a focus on high availability, security, and seamless user experiences. This contract opportunity requires weekly office presence and is paying up to £450 Inside IR 35 for a 6 month project. Core responsibilities: Administer and support Office 365, Exchange 365, and hybrid Exchange environments, ensuring smooth operation, security, and compliance across all mail systems. Manage and optimize Proofpoint mail hygiene solutions, ensuring the organization’s email system is protected against spam, phishing, and other security threats. Implement, configure, and maintain cloud-based identity management solutions, including Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), to enhance user authentication, access control, and security across cloud platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Ensure best practices in cloud security are followed, including configuring multi-factor authentication (MFA), data protection policies, and advanced threat protection features. Monitor and optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure) for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.Essential: Local government or public sector experience is a must have. Strong experience managing Office 365, Exchange 365, and Hybrid Exchange environments. Extensive knowledge of Proofpoint email security solutions (or similar mail hygiene tools). Solid experience with AWS and Azure, including provisioning and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services. Proficient with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), including user/group management, SSO, and MFA configurations. Experience with cloud-based security solutions, including email threat protection, spam filtering, and advanced email security. Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation and system management tasks (preferred)
