The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, tailored lessons to students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. They will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of students.
2. Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
3. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support.
4. Create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
5. Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) reviews.
Requirements
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism, ADHD, or complex learning needs.
3. Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and differentiation.
4. Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
