The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Managers, Senior Site Managers and Contract Managers to join our Rail Division, focusing on arboriculture projects across Scotland. In these pivotal role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of multiple projects, ensuring they meet Ground Control’s standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Your expertise will be instrumental in propelling our projects forward, making previous arboriculture experience essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Oversee all stages of arboriculture projects, from planning through to execution, ensuring completion within timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
* Team Leadership: Manage and support direct staff and field teams, fostering a safe, productive, and collaborative environment. Conduct regular site safety visits and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to understand their needs, provide business updates, and build strong relationships.
* Financial Management: Manage project budgets, working within set margins. Collaborate on project pricing, providing accurate estimates that reflect project scopes and resources.
* Compliance and Health & Safety: Ensure all activities adhere to regulatory requirements and best practices, emphasizing arboriculture-specific compliance. Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments for safe working practices.
What We’re Looking For:
* Arboriculture Expertise: Proven background in arboriculture project management, preferably within the rail industry.
* Leadership & Communication: Effective at motivating teams and maintaining clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
* Financial Acumen: Experience in project pricing and budget management, with the ability to create accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
* Flexibility: Willingness to travel across Scotland and undertake overnight stays as necessary, including ad hoc weekend work.
* Certifications: PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification is desirable but not essential. A valid driving license is required.
