The Role To complement the professional work of teachers and the SEND team, taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under a system of supervision, supported by direction from the SENCO, teaching staff and in line with school policies and guidance. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups, monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on students achievement, progress and development. The person will also be responsible to deliver after school interventions, after school homework club and undertake assignments under directed time. Evidence of successful completion of specific training in relevant strategies and interventions/SEND/Cognition and Learning/ Physical and Sensory/ SEMH/Speech and Language, e.g. literacy and/or in particular curriculum areas such as bi-lingual, sign language, dyslexia, ICT, maths English CACHE, ELKLAN, Zone of Regulation Full working knowledge of relevant education policies, SEN code of practice and procedures, and relevant legislation.
